Composition, environment and figure

Drawing of people with fingers on keyboard

The idea of the workshop is to loosen up your line work and achieve deep, complex environments. We will spend a lot of time on the composition and spontaneous figure assembly. I talk and comment a lot during the session and encourage you to have questions and participate actively. We work strictly with imagination and memories and learn to assemble figures spontaneously yet with a realistic implementation. I show how to assemble the objects, environment and figure simultaneously making them match each other stylistically.

Independent of your background, the workshop will help you to develop additional stylistic features to your already established figurative work.

Materials: willow (vine) charcoal, A3 format Strathmore sketching paper, hard eraser, blue soft pastel.
