During this
workshop you will get familiar with three main aspects of classical drawing:
Optic (2D)
Haptic (3D)
Dynamic
(4D)
During
these days we will investigate the form of the human body, through a
combination of theory and direct observation of a live model.
We will
begin every day with two hours of theory and anatomy, followed by three hours
of drawing the model.
We will
work with different concepts and methods to capture the model, falling in either
the optic, haptic or dynamic category.
Some
methods are meant to strengthen your observational skills (Optic) while some
will aim at strengthening your knowledge about the human form (Haptic) and some
will be about the gesture and rhythm of the model (Dynamic).
All levels
are welcome, beginners and advanced students alike.
Materials:
Graphite pencils (H-HB-2B)
Color pencils (various colors)
Hard eraser
Soft eraser
Paper and
boards are provided by the school, but you are welcome to bring a sketchbook if
you like.
There will
be a short break during the day during which you can eat your own food, but
there will be no actual lunch break.
Please note that discount as student, unemployed or retired is available exclusively for residents of Copenhagen municipality proper, and that we are required to obtain documentation for your status.
