Would you like to make your drawings come to
life in your hands as a sculpture?
Now you have got the chance to learn how from a teacher with 18 years of
experience as a teacher and as a modeler on professional animation productions.
We will take you through a process, starting from concept drawing to an
armature made from wire and tinfoil and finish with sculpting in chavant clay -
a clay used by professionals in sculpting. The final level of detail in the
model will vary depending on your pace – the course is for all levels,
beginners to experienced in drawing.
The class is limited to 8 students to leave enough time for individual teacher
guidance You get to decide yourself which project you would like to do; It can
be an existing character design (from e.g. movies, animation, games, comics) or
a character design of your own creation.
We ask people to sign up well in advance of the course, no later than March 17th
so that you and Morten have time for a chat before the course starts. Together you
and Morten will lay out a personal roadmap, taking into consideration your
skills and your level of ambition, to provide you the optimal learning
experience. If everything goes according to plan, you will have a working
drawing at the beginning of the first lecture, to work from.
Materials are included in the price of the course. You will be borrowing tools
from Morten.
Note: discounted rate for students/unemployed/retired is only available for residents of Copenhagen municipality proper, and we are legally required to ask for documentation for yuor status.

Morten Lassen
